Fair Recruitment & Teacher Protection Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

We built Teacher Korea Consulting because too many foreign teachers arrive in Korea through processes they can't see into — job boards, unread contracts, and no one to call when something goes wrong. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

1. Free for teachers, always

We never charge teachers a placement fee, deposit, or "processing" cost — before, during, or after placement. Schools pay for our service.

2. School vetting

Before we introduce a teacher, we review the school's hiring history, working conditions, and the specific terms it is offering. We decline to work with schools that won't provide clear written terms. Vetting reduces risk; it cannot eliminate it — which is why the commitments below matter too.

3. Contract transparency

4. Your documents stay yours

No school we work with may hold your passport or original documents. If anyone asks to keep them, tell us immediately.

5. Honest representation

We describe schools, cities, and conditions as they are. We would rather lose a placement than place you somewhere on a false picture.

6. Support after you arrive

Our involvement doesn't end at the airport. If a dispute arises about pay, hours, housing, or your contract, contact us — we will help you understand your options, and you can use a free consultation with our partnered Korean law firm for professional advice.

7. Raising a concern

If you believe any school — or anyone acting on our behalf — has fallen short of these standards, email teacherkorea.consulting@gmail.com with "Concern" in the subject line. A concern will never disadvantage your application.

This page describes our service standards. Individual contract terms are set between you and your school, and outcomes vary. Nothing here is legal advice.
